Join us for a continuation of our Indie Author day activities as we welcome North Texas author Brantley Hargrove, a freelance journalist and the author of The Man Who Caught the Storm, on the life and death of legendary storm chaser and tornado researcher Tim Samaras. Brantley has written for Wired, Popular Mechanics, and Texas Monthly, and he has chased violent storms from the Great Plains down to the Texas coast, including a land-falling Category 4 hurricane and twin EF4 tornadoes in Nebraska. He will show footage from his storm chasing adventures as well as share insights about his writing career. Program attendees will be entered in a drawing to win one of 3 copies of The Man Who Caught the Storm. Winners will be drawn at the end of the program and may pick up their book from the library any time we are open.
