Program Description

Event Details

James Everett is an Archeological Steward for the Texas Historical Commission and the Immediate Past President of the Texas Archeological Society and the North Texas Archeological Society. He will be presenting a program (virtually) for the Cozby Library and Community Commons March 27th regarding the Native Americans who lived in the North Texas area. 

First, he will be looking at the groups who occupied North Texas in the 1800s, showing where they came from, when they entered North Texas, and briefly what type of culture they had.  Then, he will point out the very lengthy pre-history behind Native cultures in North Texas (Paleo, Archaic, Late Prehistoric).
