Event Details
“As a fiber artist, my work has sprung from decades of quilting experience. I enjoy interpreting scenes of nature or common objects into foundation pieced fabric art. Foundation piecing quilts is a traditional method of construction that I have employed to create more complex images than is typically found in traditional quilting. My goal as an artist is to lend interest and new interpretation to conventional items or scenes."
Originally hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Lesli Townsend now calls DFW home. She has been creating quilts for 25 years and art for over ten years. Currently, Lesli is a stay-at-home mom to three rambunctious young boys. She makes time for her passion for sewing art and quilts when her boys finally fall asleep at night.
