This will be the first in a series called Coppell History Talks by the Coppell Historical Society. Did you know that 50 years ago, the Concorde Supersonic Transport (SST) was the first plane to land at DFW International Airport? Did you know that our second mayor, W.T. Cozby (which our library is named after) played an important role in getting the airport located to our south and that the population of Coppell grew dramatically after it opened? Come hear the Assistant Vice President of DFW International Airport give a presentation on the history of the airport 50 years after it started operation.
