Event Details
Today’s parents feel enormous pressures with over half feeling alone and nearly as many feeling extreme stress on a daily basis. Stressors ranges from worrying about their child’s well-being, on-line safety, and financial stress. Despite how hard parents work to protect their children, today’s youth experience more family hardships than previous generations. There is hope! Today’s challenges are an opportunity to take care of parents and caregivers in our community through connection and support. By leaning on community, parents can create much needed safety nets for tough times.
This program gives participants a chance to learn the signs of stress and loneliness and the effects of high stress on parenting and child well-being. Participants will learn ideas for finding help and share ideas that begin at home. Small group size allows participants to connect, share ideas or ask questions. All attendees will be given a handout of free 24/7 family resources and crisis information during the meeting. A table with quiet activities will be set up in the conference room for children to enjoy (unsupervised) while their parents attend the session.
This program is for parents and caregivers of children of all ages.
