Program Description

Event Details

We are pleased to announce that Coppell residents, Martha and Chris Thomas, who are co founders of "The Defensive Line" will be presenting a suicide prevention workshop especially geared toward parents. In the workshop, parents will learn how to recognize warning signs of a mental health crisis, how to have difficult conversations, and how to formulate an informed plan of action.

Martha and Chris are no strangers to Coppell. Martha taught in CISD for many years and she and Chris, her husband still reside in Coppell. Their son Solomon, who has played in the NFL for six seasons as a Defensive Lineman, went to Coppell High School. All three founded the organization "The Defensive Line," in honor of Ella, their daughter and sister who lost her battle with mental health.
